ACSR conductors are widely used for electrical power transmission over long distances, since they are ideal for Long overhead lines spans. They are also used as a messenger for supporting overhead electrical cables.
(AAC) All Aluminium Conductors consist of hard drawn aluminium wires that are stranded in successive layers, in opposite direction to form the aluminium stranded AAC conductor.
AAC are mainly used for aerial distribution lines that have relatively short spans, aerial feeders and bus bars of substations.
Aerial bunched cables are overhead power lines using several insulated phase conductors bundled tightly together, usually with a bare neutral conductor. Due to the compact structure of the cable, it is easy to install in narrow spaces and bushy regions. With the increased use of Aerial Bunched Cables, the theft of cable has gone down drastically.
The phase conductor and neutral/street lighting conductors is of H2 or H4 grade aluminium complying with the requirements of IS 8130:1984 and conforms to flexibility class 2 of IS 8130:1984. The size of the street lighting conductor is16 mm2
